Humanize Your Apps: Add a Customizable Voice Assistant
Featuring:
James Shelbournce, Senior Product Manager Alan App
James Shelbournce, of Alan AI shared about how the conversational voice AI platform has increased customer engagement and revenue in many applications by humanizing and customizing voice.
The goal is to create an experience that is truly user friendly not only for the developer but more importantly for the consumer. For example, while driving, touch experiences are not as safe as voice.
Murphy Oil has recently switched to voice which is much safer as their jobs require them to travel by car for extensive periods of time. Murphy employees can add comments to their interface as they travel to the next location. Before adding the voice control, the field workers had to stop what they were doing to process via touch and type.
Voice Assistants is a more natural way to strategically differentiate with an increase in operational efficiency and revenue. Increased customer satisfaction obviously increases Net Promoter Score. It also enables rapid enhancement of the UX with real-time feedback to pinpoint what users actually want.
Alan allows developers to see the users visual context as well as the dialogue context. So if on a new screen, users ask questions or for other features, it’s easier to pinpoint what to change or add as a developer. The key is to use both visual and voice experience to appeal to all users.
James introduced the application Alan Playground in the IOS App Store as well as the Google Store which allows developers to see the Java Script scripts that are controlling apps.
