Build games for Echo Buttons, an Alexa gadget

Join us to learn how to build games for Alexa, and engage with players on tens of millions of Echo devices. The Alexa team will show you how to integrate your skills with Echo Buttons, and create gaming experiences that users will love. Walk out of this session with everything you need to start developing Alexa games, and how to integrate with gaming-friendly Alexa Gadgets. This free, one-day, hands-on learning experience will be held on June 26, 2018 at Amazon Bigfoot, 515 Westlake Ave N., Seattle.
This session is aimed at advanced level developers who have built at least one Alexa skill before. If you’d like to attend but haven't built a skill before, we recommend watching our YouTube series and reviewing the advanced course prerequisites below.
Please bring a fully charged laptop to the event and you will need to create an Amazon Developer account here and an AWS account here prior to arrival.

Laura Mae Brown is the Executive Producer for Alexa Games and leads a team that has designed, built, and launched more than 15 first-party Alexa game skills. Her passion is to bring innovative and immersive gaming experiences to people, most recently focusing on the emergent voice-driven technology of Alexa and the new Echo Buttons interface. Before joining Amazon, Laura Mae had accumulated over a decade of experience across a variety of video game developers, having worked in product management leadership positions on titles such as League of Legends at Riot Games and The Sims franchise at EA. In a former life, Laura Mae was an investment banker for five years at UBS in London.
Nathan Grice is a Senior Solutions Architect with almost 4 years at Amazon and 2 years on the Alexa team helping partners build skills and device integrations that bring first-of-their-kind experiences to Alexa like controlling appliances with GE and controlling your entertainment center with Logitech Harmony. He spent 1.5 years in the Smart Home space and is now bringing other new experiences to the Alexa Service with the New Technologies Team. Nathan has 15 years of development experience having worked up and down the stack in Java, Python and Ruby, most recently working on analytics platforms using Hadoop prior to joining Amazon.
