Nat Geo Veteran Stacy England joins as COO, Jaimey Walking Bear and Amanda Francis add decades of large event experience
Modev, the company that brings together the technology communities, announced the addition of three new members of its team. Stacy England joins Modev as COO, Amanda Francis as Sponsorship and Exhibit Sales Lead, and Jaimey Walking Bear as General Manager, Events.
Stacy, Jaimey, and Amanda will each play an integral role in helping to shape and grow Modev’s initiatives and events, in-person and online. The new hires will join a powerhouse team of video and event producers, and marketers and developers, and help to drive the company’s mission to help voice, ambient computing and other cutting-edge tech communities flourish and thrive.

Modev produces a variety of global technology content and events, including VOICE Summit and the Webby-Award winning VOICE Talks. The company is headquartered in Arlington, Va., with a worldwide employee base.
Stacy England joins as chief operating officer, bringing experience working in fast-paced environments leading cross-functional teams to develop actionable plans to expand, and grow brands, audiences and partnerships. Most recently, Stacy was the head of Global Events at the National Geographic Society, where she led the strategy for more than 30 events annually, including the global Explorers Festival and the annual star-studded National Geographic Awards. Prior to that, Stacy led events production, fundraising, and marketing communications strategy at the non-profit Food & Friends, which delivers nutritious meals and groceries to individuals with life-challenging illnesses. Stacy currently resides in Washington, D.C.
Amanda Francis will lead sales, generating and managing daily revenue operations for sponsorships, online and in-person exhibit sales, group sales, and attendee registration. Bringing more than nine years of event sales management, Amanda has worked on a broad range of events -- from 500 attendees to 27,000 attendees -- including The ABC Kids Expo and LightFair International conference and tradeshow. Amanda holds the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation and is a nominee and participant of the International Association of Exhibition and Events “Under 35 Program.” Her work was featured as “Core Value – Teamwork” at International Market Centers. Amanda currently resides in Atlanta, Ga.
Jaimey Walking Bear returns to Modev as General Manager, Events, running the development of Modev’s conferences from 2013-2015. Prior experience includes leading the strategic planning, operations, programming, and marketing for TechMedia/Digital Summit and for O’Reilly Media. In his current role at Modev, Jaimey leads planning and operations of Modev events and digital content experiences, including VOICE Summit, VOICE Talks, and VOICE Global. He also serves as a key liaison for the Modev community, and will also be instrumental in advancing the company’s future growth opportunities. Jaimey currently lives in the city of Matagalpa, located in the Northern mountains of Nicaragua.
